It's natural to have worries, but are there times you tend to overthink and dwell on the smallest issues, making them seem more immense and overwhelming? Do you ever feel like you worry too much? People think it’s simple to shake off anxious thoughts, but you know the toll anxiety has on your mental and emotional well-being.
It is both unifying and bittersweet to acknowledge the common experiences that women of color face with anxiety and other mental health issues we silently battle. My heart goes out to all who believe they have to minimize their needs to keep the people around them happy.
As a woman of color, I recognize the unique challenges we face stemming from our racial and gender identities. These challenges undeniably impact us on two levels: socially, because of our cultural attitudes and biases, and personally, through our everyday experiences.
There is a freedom you feel when you recognize and address these issues.

Women of color come in many forms. Our lived experiences involve various stressors, such as poverty, language barriers, and cultural differences, which can contribute to heightened anxiety.
